本来在想电影名和故事开头已经给定结局，是否会很无趣，但结尾还是在一定程度上有些惊喜。导演说有人担心因为是讲美国军人的故事，所以怕国际放映没有共鸣。我想不止讲的美国军队，莫名其妙泪流不止。灵感来自导演自己参军的经历，所有人物都有原型。好奇导演把原型男性改成了女性主角，他在映后说是因为1、亲身经历所以想把自己抽离出来 2、有太多顺直白男故事，虽然自己军队没什么女生，但是他知道很多女性军人故事，所以决定把故事角色定为女性。
